The Practice of Coaching Supervision Groups - diskuze

Group supervision is a growing element of coaching practice – all professional coaching bodies now recognise its role, and with it, a sense of community and belonging. This book is a practical guide for practitioners to extend their skill set from individual to group settings. Most coaching supervision training focuses on the fundamentals of supervision and the application in an individual context – but what else do we need to know if we are engaging in group coaching supervision? This book introduces a new six-stage model of group evolution, taking the reader through the life-cycle of supervision groups: from how to put groups together, how to support group members' development (at individual, collective and systemic levels), right through to how to manage group endings and dissolution in a generative way. While written with the developing group coaching supervisor in mind, the book embraces the collaborative nature of supervision and considers the supervisee perspective in every chapter. The context for this book is deliberately non-clinical; this is about group supervision which is intentionally designed to support coaches and leaders who work in an organisational context. If you are curious about how a coaching supervision group is formed and the process of group supervision, this is the book for you! Whilst it is written with the supervisor in mind, each chapter closes with a table that offers key learning points for both supervisors and supervisees.
