The Kings of the Sea - C.J. Adrien - diskuze

From the award winning author of The Lords of The Wind (Gold Medal Winner – Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards) 843 A.D. The city of Nantes Burns. Power has a way of exposing every fault. Betrayed by his Celtic allies, Hasting turns his fury on the city they swore to protect. The sack of Nantes sends shockwaves across the Norse world, marking him as the first Viking to conquer a fortified Frankish stronghold and raising his name beyond that of any raider before him. Fame brings opportunity, and danger. As rivals and would-be allies gather, Hasting is drawn into a dangerous alliance with other sea kings, men driven by ambition as ruthless as his own. When an old rival arrives with a proposal to unite their fleets and strike at an unprecedented prize, Hasting finds himself standing at the edge of a war that could reshape the known world. But unity is fragile. Old grudges, secret loyalties, and personal desire threaten to tear the alliance apart before the first sail is raised. To lead kings, Hasting must risk everything he has fought to build and confront the truth that power demands more than strength alone. Inspired by the true exploits of the Viking warlord Hasting, The Kings of the Sea is the third novel in The Saga of Hasting the Avenger, a sweeping historical epic of ambition, alliance, and the cost of standing among men who refuse to kneel.
