Palestine - diskuze

The al-Khalidi family has walked the streets of Jerusalem for more than a thousand years. Now, celebrated scholar Rashid Khalidi draws on his family story and his own experiences to offer a powerful, accessible introduction to the history of the Palestinian people and their land.

From the relative stability of the Ottoman Empire to the Balfour Declaration of 1917 and Israel's ongoing colonial war - and offering insights into the future of Palestine - Palestine: A Short History is a compelling entry point into a century of conflict and resistance.

Through Khalidi's eyes, you will encounter the beautiful, ancient, living land of Palestine and gain a better understanding of what is happening there today, as well as the background to the world's most urgent - and misunderstood - conflict.
