Sent on a new assignment to rural Ireland, tree doctor Adam Hitchens Joseph Mawle moves with his wife Clare Bojana Novakovic and infant son to the outskirts of the remote forest he is sent to examine. As he considers the woods' development potential, Adam is met with hostilities from the superstitious locals who believe the area houses sacred mythological creatures.
