Having come so close the previous year Liverpool made no mistake this time as they were crowned Premier League champions collecting an impressive 99 points. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the season was suspended for three months and resumed in June with all matches played behind closed doors. Title winning captain Jordan Henderson was named as Football Writers' Player of the Year and manager Jrgen Klopp received the Premier League Manager of the Year award in a triumphant season for the Reds.
