Brooklyn Cocktails - Jack Zinsser - diskuze

Pour yourself a drink and explore the neighborhoods, characters, and stories that Brooklyn has to offer, one cocktail at a time.Brooklyn has been called many things: a cultural capital, a culinary destination, the most important place on earth if you ask anyone who lives there. This book will not be settling that debate. It will, however, be providing drinks.Inside, you'll find 60 cocktails, one for every neighborhood, history, and local legend the borough has to offer:Make a dirty martini for DUMBO (Down Under My Big Olive)Toast the Notorious F.I.G.Raise a pizza oil-hued Negroni for "Gimme a Slice" Mix yourself an I'm Not Going to the City (Manhattan), the cocktail for anyone who has ever received the dreaded "come to the city” text on a Friday night.Whether you are a lifelong resident, a recent transplant still learning to say "baconeggandcheese" as one word, or someone just trying to justify a cost of living lower than Manhattan, this book meets you where you are. Which is Brooklyn. Possibly on a stoop.Raise a glass to the borough that does it best.
