When The Party Died: More murder, more mystery - A.G. Barnett

A museum-launch murder mystery in the British village crime tradition, complete with whispers of lost treasure and a gallery of suspects who all had reasons to attend. Character-driven detection with warmth, wit and personal stakes for both leads. Museums Preserve the Past. This One Made History. The grand launch of a new exhibit at Bexford Museum takes a dark turn when Detective Sergeant Guy Poole and Detective Inspector Sam Brock discover a body amongst the displays. With whispers of a lost treasure and no shortage of suspects, they'll need to stay sharp to find the killer. Away from the case, Poole faces the daunting task of revealing a painful truth to his mother, knowing it could cost him a second parent. Brock, meanwhile, stands at a crossroads, weighing decisions that could change his future in Bexford for good. And somewhere between the relics and the rumours, a killer is counting on the past staying lost.
