This is a book about everybody; the matter that makes us all from birth to death. Life chances are linked to life choices: the food we eat, the air we breathe, the messaging we receive and the thrills we enjoy. Variants calls on individuals, governments, corporations and other organisations to care for everybody. The destiny of our bodies is not only shaped by the pre-determined drama of our DNA, but modifiable 'variants' like poverty, exposure to obesogenic environments and air pollution. These affect our body's life - or death - expectancy. Along comes an unprecedented virus spreading with a shifting R-rate-of-Reproduction, colliding with pre-existing health conditions and challenging wealth conditions, driving rates of morbidity that strain and drain healthcare systems. We are told to flatten COVID-19 curves, and yet other curves - or variants - continue to fatten and sweeten. But these variants are not irreversible, just as Nature is not irretrievable, in regaining our bodyhood if we follow humanity as well as the science; everyone can become healthier and make the next pandemic less exceptional!
