TheStory of Polly Pinfollows Polly, a small pin who lives among a jumble of sewing tools in thehaberdashery room. With great enthusiasm, thegirl begins arranging the pins into groups of red, yellow, green, and blue. When she finally picks up Polly, she places her beside Noah Needle. Feelingself-conscious, Polly apologises to Noah for looking different. But Noah warmlyintroduces himself and reassures her that being different is something to beproud of. He explains the important roles that both pins and needles play,helping Polly see her own worth for the very first time.
