The Secret War - diskuze

The original 1977 series of the BBC documentary exploring the 'secret war' fought behind the scenes of WWII by scientists and engineers as they strove to produce new technology. Due to the increasingly mechanised nature of warfare, the battle to develop ever more destructive weapons was arguably as important to the outcome of the war as military tactics. Presented by William Woolard and featuring contributions from author Reginald Victor Jones, the programme explores an era of innovation that pitted German and British scientists against one another in a race to create devices that would turn the conflict in their favour.
