Stella Cadente (Llus Miarro) (DVD)

Catalan historical drama co-written and directed by Llus Miarro. The film follows ruler Amadeo I Alex Brendemhl as he attempts to establish himself as the King of Spain in the early 1870s. After being elected during a period of violent social upheaval, Amadeo must contend with a number of uprisings, disputes and assassination attempts during his difficult and short-lived reign. The cast also includes Brbara Lennie, Lorenzo Balducci and Francesc Garrido.
