Somewhere

The official matching songbook to Somewhere by Eva Cassidy, arranged for  piano and voice with guitar chord boxes. Ten years after the release of Songbird, an album that has since gone platinum, this new Eva Cassidy collection brings together yet more magical moments from one of America’s most lauded singersongwriter legends. Embracing Cassidy’s usual kaleidoscope of styles—from country and folk to Appalachian and Celtic—Somewhere is a set of covers that reminds us of the singer’s consummate musicality and all-encompassing vocal skills. The overall mood fluctuates between hushed intimacy and summery exuberance. Special mention must be made of the final two songs: a gorgeous acoustic arrangement of Gershwin’s Summertime, and the soaring title track, Somewhere, in true Cassidy style. This seventh posthumous album from Eva Cassidy is the first to contain tracks written by Eva herself.
