Historian Simon Schama presents this three-part BBC series in which he turns his focus to the history of British portraiture. Throughout the series, Schama examines renowned images from the world of British art and looks at how they were used as statements of power, declarations of love and promotions of fame. The episodes are 'The Face of Power', 'Faces of the People' and 'The Face of Fame'.
