Racer and the Jailbird (Michal R. Roskam) (DVD)

Belgian drama co-written and directed by Michal R. Roskam. Set in Brussels, the film follows Gigi Matthias Schoenaerts, a bank robber who falls in love with professional racing driver Bibi Adle Exarchopoulos. Desperate not to scare off his new love, Gigi keeps quiet about his secret profession, but as the pair grow closer, Bibi soon begins to suspect that he is hiding something from her. When a big heist then goes badly wrong, Gigi is arrested and thrown in prison, leaving Bibi facing some big decisions as she weighs up whether or not they can stay together.
