Nitra city guide

The modern, 80-page travel guide on the oldest Slovak city includes practical information and contact details for more than 60 tourist spots, 3D aerial drawings, many articles and more than 250 photographs. It also introduces you to places that are often unknown to locals. The reader-friendly design and practical, pocket-sized format is complemented by a pull-out map of the city centre and the region.

Apart from tourist points, the Nitra city guide describes in 21 travel feature stories topics such as extreme adventure/sights, the tastes of Nitra, tips for families with kids, the lesser known parts of Nitra, and much more. The Nitra City guide reveals the precious secrets of traditional peanut puffs (chrumky), chocolate, and mead, while offering the best views of the city and leading you to alternative places such as Trafačka and Hidepark. You will learn which of Nitra’s relics was worshipped by all people at the airport in Bulgaria, and how to travel the famous road to Santiago de Compostela directly from Nitra.

The publication was created by a team of 11 authors with the help of the municipal tourism department and many others providing services for tourists. This edition is published as a part of the travel series Spectacular Slovakia.
