Marigold and the Magic Painting - Sarah Barton-King - diskuze

Marigold is a bright, curious, eleven year old.‎Her school is involved with local community issues. ‎The latest effort is to encourage children to befriend ‎elderly people especially during holidays,‎because this is their loneliest time.‎Marigold always found the house on the canal very ‎mysterious-looking, but plucked upher courage to knock on the door ‎and met Mrs Fawcett, who becomes her friend.‎Then the teacher had another idea. ‎Why not have a jumble sale to raise money ‎to rent a seaside cottage ‎for families who aren't able to go on holidays.‎Marigold never expected that a dirty, old painting ‎waiting to be discovered in an old trunk in the basement ‎would take her on roller coaster adventures ‎through several historic events ‎with Mrs Fawcett and change her life.‎
