Adle Haenel and Kvin Azas star in this French coming-of-age comedy. Mild-mannered Arnaud Azas is looking forward to a carefree summer of hanging out with friends in his small coastal town and working alongside his brother for the family's carpentry business. But after he meets tomboy Madeleine at a self-defence demonstration his plans change when he learns he will be working on her parents' house. As he becomes increasingly infatuated with their eccentric daughter, Arnaud decides to join her on a two week training course, led by Lieutenant Schliefer Nicolas Wanczycki, for one of the toughest regiments in the army. The couple grow closer as they both hate their time in camp and Madeleine doubts her chosen career path, but will the young lovers still need each other when the time comes to leave
