Suzanne Scott Thomas is a comfortably wealthy wife and mother living with her doctor husband, Samuel Yvan Attal, and their teenage children in the South of France. Tired of her idle, bourgeois lifestyle, Suzanne decides to resume her career as a physiotherapist, and begins to renovate an outbuilding in the garden as a clinic.
