Elliott Carter: 103rd Birthday Concert (Fred Sherry) (DVD)

Celebratory concert for the 103rd birthday of American composer Elliott Carter. The last surviving pupil of Gustav Holst, Carter chose to mark the occasion with three world premieres and a concert. With noted performers Rolf Schulte, Richard O'Neill and Fred Sherry, the concert features some of Carter's most well-known works as well as brand new music and, of course, the obligatory 'Happy Birthday' sung by the audience.
