The player has a murky past, muddied by a boatload of dark secrets—a dirty, ruthless right defenseman, Jonas' list of enemies includes rival players, disgruntled fans and even his own teammates. As DS Lisbon and his trusted partner, Detective Constable Claudia Taylor, delve deeper into the mystery, they find themselves navigating a treacherous landscape of inflated egos, obsessive admirers and bitter ex-spouses. With mounting pressure from all sides, can Lisbon bring the killer to justice in a world where the ice is never as smooth as it seems?Cold Shot, the eighth book in The Fighting Detective series, is a chilling thriller with a twisty plot—the perfect book for fans of James Patterson, David Baldacci and Ian Rankin. ________________________________________________________________________Praise for The Fighting Detective series:?????Another terrific story in The Fighting Detective series. ?????Top notch!?????Couldn't put it down. ?????Entertaining, fast paced with some good plot twists. ?????Bring on the next one. ?????Brilliant.
