Broken Blossoms - diskuze

Remake of D.W. Griffith's silent movie, based on the novel 'The Chink and the Child' by Thomas Burke. Lucy Burrows Dolly Haas is a young Londoner who is the victim of frequent violent attacks at the hands of her alcoholic father. She befriends Chen Emlyn Williams, a Chinese man who is trying to promote a peaceful Buddhist way of life. Learning of Lucy's plight, Chen helps her to escape her father, but the abusive drunk soon comes looking for them, intent on seeking revenge.
