Biggles Fails to Return - Captain W. E. Johns

Is this the end of Captain James Bigglesworth?Biggles is missing. Fearing that this may be the result of a failed mission, Algy, Ginger and Bertie demand answers from Air Commodore Raymond.Raymond informs them that Biggles'' last known whereabouts were in Monaco, on a solo mission to rescue an Italian princess. Whilst protecting the princess as she boarded a plane, Biggles was shot.
